In August 2025, I started a three-year term as an Information Literacy and Liaison Librarian & Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of Northern Iowa.
My role involves liaising to UNI’s social sciences departments and teaching undergraduate general education courses on information literacy, research skills, and AI literacy. I’m a lifelong Iowan, and my goal is to empower students, foster scholarship, and uplift libraries in my state.
I currently write for ACRLog’s first-year academic librarian experience column, and I serve on Iowa ACRL’s Membership Committee. I’m also a member of Beta Phi Mu, the international library and information science honors society. Previously, I served as a 2025 Junior Fellow in the Library of Congress’s Literary Initiatives Office.
I hold a B.S. in Public Health and English from George Washington University and an M.A. in Library & Information Science from the University of Iowa. As an early-career librarian, I am excited to connect with other library professionals–please reach out through LinkedIn or my contact form!
